David Gamliel, PhD Student


David is a fifth year graduate student in the Valla Lab, and is expected to graduate in December 2017. He completed his undergraduate coursework in Chemical Engineering at UMass Amherst in 2013. David’s primary focus is conversion of biomass and other waste feedstocks to drop-in fuels. David has communicated his work via several first-author publications and 8 international conference presentations. He won an NSF GK12 Fellowship in 2014, and was the president of the Chemical Engineering Graduate Student Association. David enjoys playing UConn intramural softball when he gets the opportunity.

Kevin X. Lee, PhD Student

IMG_2814 Kevin is a Chemical Engineer graduate student who joined the lab in 2014. Kevin works on the the production of sulfur-free transportation fuels using adsorptive methods.
